The First Follower

Levi Strauss invented jeans way back in the first half of the Twentieth Century. He wasn’t exactly the first, a guy named Jacob Davies was the first but Levi was the first follower and quickly became Jacob’s partner. To be a trend setter or a leader sometimes means having the courage to stand out…but without “the first follower” you might be just a lone nut!  In honour of Jeans for Genes week, just gone, why not learn about the very important role of the “first follower”.  Click on this video about them to watch it on youtube.

Jeans for Geans day was commemorated in the library with some Jeans and some Genetics resources.  We even had a template for you to make your own double helix.  Check out the Genetics file in the vertical file and make yourself a copy. Mrs Parks’ Biology class are examining the issues surrounding various types of genetic technology and there are many resources to browse on the frozen loans trolley. A learning plaace pathway highlights some of the useful online resources for this topic.  Or you can go straight to our Diigo hotlist/information portal on the subject.  If you look hard you will see our Woollies thermometer of Earn & Learn points.  Bring in those Woolworths dockets and place them in the box.

Things are never quite what they seem. But you can make your message clear by telling it in pictures exactly the way you want. Last time LoopLabs proved popular for mixing music. There’s a few good image mixing tools in this post. Check them out. Search for others.
